Construction has started on my new place and it has taken me completely out of my comfort zone. Every minute that I am not at work is spent trying to check off a few of a hundred items on my to-do list. The hours I used to spend in my evenings and weekends creating blog posts for you all are now spent at Home Depot tirelessly trying to pick up everything we need for construction. At times I get so overwhelmed I sit and wonder what the hell I’ve gotten myself into. I could not be more thankful to my boyfriend who is constantly my rock. Just when I am about to have a meltdown he tells me just what I need to hear and I immediately feel at ease. He renovates homes for a living so I am able to put complete faith in him. How did I get so lucky?
Another thing that puts me at ease is furniture shopping. I go to bed dreaming of a new piece I found and how I want the different rooms to look when it is finally time to start decorating. I can already picture myself snuggling up under the covers in my new home, under my king size comforter and crisp white sheets. Ahhhh… now if only we could fast forward 1 month so I could move in already. Have any of you ever had to deal with construction on your home? How did you deal?! Please tell me, I’d love to hear!
At least until the work is done I have lots of pretty pictures to look at for inspiration. You can see all of these photos and more on my Pinterest board. Until next time!

Laura
