The Best Places to Take Holiday Photos in Los Angeles
I’ve been shooting holiday photos around Los Angeles for over 5 years and with that comes the knowledge of where the absolute best places are to take your holiday pictures. Here they are:
VIA RODEO FOR THE BEST HOLIDAY PHOTOS IN LOS ANGELES
My favorite spot to take photos in all Los Angeles is Via Rodeo. The majestic staircase on the corner of Wilshire Blvd and Rodeo Drive. Every year they decorate the lamp posts and staircase with fun holiday decor. This was one of my favorite holiday posts. If you walk to the other end of Via Rodeo you can get more of the cobblestone street like in these photos.
RODEO DRIVE FOR THE BEST HOLIDAY PHOTOS IN LOS ANGELES
After you’ve shot a few photos at Via Rodeo, you can simply walk down Rodeo Drive to find plenty more photo locations. I’m personally quite fond of the Bulgari wall as you can see in the photo above and these photos here.
PASADENA CITY HALL FOR THE BEST HOLIDAY PHOTOS IN LOS ANGELES
Another favorite photo location spot is the Pasadena City Hall. Each year I always find myself back at this spot. The beautiful fountain just calls my name. Early Sunday morning works best. Less people, free parking, and you won’t get kicked out for not having a permit to take photos. You can see a few more photos from Pasadena City Hall in this post.
CHRISTMAS TREE FARMS FOR THE BEST HOLIDAY PHOTOS IN LOS ANGELES
Rows and rows of fresh cut Christmas trees make a perfect backdrop for your holiday photo. These photos below were taken in a Ralph’s Grocery store parking lot.
AT HOME UNDER YOUR OWN TREE
Taking photos at home is the most comfortable options and allows you to take the time to set up as you please. You can use your Christmas tree as a backdrop like I did below and use presents as props! Here are 10 easy ways to decorate your house for the holidays.
