The Best Thrift Stores in San Pedro
Lately, I have been into the thrill of the thrift shopping second-hand items at an incredible price. It’s like a search for hidden treasures. I’m lucky to live in a city with some great thrift stores. Today’s post is dedicated to the best thrift stores in San Pedro. Note, I would call ahead to double-check the hours as some are closed on certain days of the week or have limited hours.
CHEAP VINTAGE
This store has tons of antique furniture, as well as various household items, clothing, and antiques. I bought a beautiful handpainted cabinet from the 1960s here for $395 (tax included.) I originally left without it not sure if it was truly the cabinet for me. A week later it was still there so I knew it was meant to be. I was able to put down a deposit to hold the item until I could come back and pick it up. The manager, Donna, was nice enough to give me $100 off and the owner Russ helped me carry and load it into my car.
Cheap Vintage has a second store in Lomita, however, this one is currently by appointment only.
The Beacon House Exchange
ADDRESS: 812 S. Pacific Ave., San Pedro, CA 90731
PHONE: (310) 514-4940
HOURS: Monday – Sunday 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
This thrift store is like a Salvation Army or Goodwill. Proceeds support the Beacon House, a state-certified residential alcoholic/drug recovery facility for men. The guys here are all really friendly and accept drop-offs 11am-7 pm. You can even schedule a pickup. I bought a set of 5 painted plates for $5 that will be perfect for entertaining.
HOUSE 1002
Address: 1002 S Pacific Ave, San Pedro, CA 90731
ROSY SCENARIO
Address: Brown Bros Building
461 W 6th Street, Suite 106
San Pedro, CA
HOURS: Wed- thru Noon to Five
I met Rosy, the owner, while I was there. Super sweet lady. She owns this little shop as a hobby. Great prices, small shop, lots of glassware, some clothes and accessories. I picked up a silk scarf for $3.50 and an orange vase for $7.50.
IT’S SHOWTIME!
This store is currently closed during the pandemic, but I took a peek inside and cannot wait until they open the doors!
I’ll update this list as I find more vintage stores to recommend.
xoxo,
