Style Challenge: A Royal Maxi Dress

Welcome to the 2nd edition of our California bloggers Style Challenge: Maxi Dress!
I bought this gorgeous maxi dress by Hunter Bell immediately after I saw it on the runway on my new favorite TV show NBC’s Fashion Star. It is exciting to be able to see the behind the scenes work of a fashion designer before a runway.  I especially enjoy being able to purchase my favorite items right away when they are bought by Macy’s, Saks Fifth Ave, or Express.

This dress immediately makes me feel like Sleeping Beauty with the gorgeous sky blue chiffon fabric and cream piping. Therefore, I decided to style it as a princess, with gorgeous jewels and a hair piece resembling a crown. This dress would also be perfect for a wedding or formal dinner. A secret about this dress is that it also has pockets- I die!  Keeping with the princess theme,  I kept my make-up light and romantic with pink lips and full lashes. What do you think?
