It has been a while since I’ve done a home tour. Not since Christmas! So I figured it was about time to show you a few changes I’ve made to my living room.
Shopping for home decor is a favorite pass time of mine. With a Home Goods just around the corner I often find myself wondering the aisles in search of new treasures. If I am in a city with a Home Goods I usually make a pit stop. The assortment can be completely different! But I promise, not everything here is from Home Goods. I actually shop at other home stores too… sort of.
When I buy a photo frame, it is never just ANY photo frame. It has to speak for itself like this gold mirrored one I picked up from… you guessed it… HG. It holds one of my favorite photos that anyone has ever taken of me. This was at the Breeder’s Cup two years ago where I met a new friend. This photo is particularly special because it reflects my two of my biggest loves in life – horses and fashion.
Candle pillars are just so fancy. This silver pair is from Home Goods. Eventually they will move to this console table I am obsessed with (and miraculously have not bought yet.) For now, these pillars have a home on my coffee table.
Pineapples are a bit of an obsession for me so these bookends were a must have (Home Goods $16). The shelf is actually an Ikea bookshelf that I spray painted matte champagne. You can see the DIY that inspired me here. Trust me, it is easier. The hardest part is just putting the damn shelf together (cough…Ikea manuals suck.)
Every time I buy roses from Trader Joes’ the bouquet comes with these extra branches. I pull them out and place them in their own vase. It adds more greenery to the space. The mini blue jar was a Good Will score and the brushed gold tray and glitter candle are more Home Goods goodies. I swear this post is not sponsored by HG. I really just shop there a LOT.
This three-wick candle is from Target. (See I do shop at other stores!!!) They have three different scents available! The lamp, end table and photo frame are all from Home Goods. Truth be told, I did not like the top of this table so I covered it with this marble contact paper. It was the easiest DIY I have ever done.
You’ll always find fresh flowers throughout my home. They add color and life to every room.
This little gold pineapple tumbler always makes me smile. Did you know that pineapples are the international symbol of hospitality? No wonder I always feel welcomed when I see them. Plus, they are always a reminder of our family trips to Hawaii.
Just a few selections on my bar cart. It’s nice to have lots of mixer options and non-alcoholic beverages for your guests.
This mask is a little trinket I picked it up in New Orleans a few years ago. Souvenirs are great decor items and conversation starters. Looking forward to picking up a few more on my trips in the near future!
The blue vase was another vintage find and the candle from Papyrus lists 100 reasons of love. It’s currently on sale and makes a great gift!
