Preppy in Pearls

This outfit has Chanel written all over it with the pearls and the tweed jacket. Maybe someday I’ll be able to add a Chanel bag to it. In the meantime, I took a less expensive, yet still very stylish approach. This clutch is just your simple black envelope clutch with a brooch I found on one of my dresses. You may recognize this dress I wore in a post last week titled Lulu’s Flare. Because it is such a versatile dress, I began thinking of all the different ways I could style it. I have not had many chances to wear this cropped tweed jacket I bought from Forever21 last year. It reminds me of a Chanel jacket and knew the two items would go perfectly together. The pearls were added to further play on the Chanel feel of the outfit. I thought the outfit needed some color so I added a pop of yellow with my $9 Target heels!
