Each year, for the past four years, a group of my closest friends go on an annual wine tour to a hidden gem of a place, Paso Robles. I am sure many of your have heard of the famous Napa Valley. Paso Robles is similar just not as well known. We like to go in the offseason (February or so when prices are less expensive and it is not as crowded.) It is also more cozy being bundled up and warming up with a few glasses of vino. We rent a house complete with a hot tub, pool (although it is always too cold to use it) and a BBQ.
11am First stop…my favorite winery in Paso- Rotta Winery. Over 100 years old and the best wine server in the world- Gayle. She will tell you about all her crazy party days from the 60’s all the way through today.
Inside the cozy home, we rent for the weekend in Paso called Mojo Risin’ Ranch. We stay at this same house every year. I prefer a house over a hotel because you can make home-cooked meals and there is more room to lounge around.

Eberly Winery stores its wine in an underground cave. They even take you on a tour through the tunnels to teach you about the creation and storage process of their wines.
