Nude Lace Dress
Lately, I have been drawn to nudes and skin tone hues. I used to shy away from nude tones for fear of looking bleak and well…naked. But now I don’t mind. Bring on the nude! It’s sexy and understated. That is why I was immediately drawn to this midi-length nude lace dress. Just an FYI to go up a size in this brand (Dress the Population) if you are in between since this fabric does not stretch and I don’t know about you, but I like to be able to breathe in the clothes I wear. 😉
Tony and I shot these photos at the Getty Villa recently and it is funny how we always get comments from the security guards such as “excuse me, sir, you cannot take professional photos here.” Last I checked, every single person at the Getty is carrying a camera and taking photos. If you are implying that I look like a model, then thank you very much! I’ll take it. I guess if I dressed more casually in something other than a nude lace dress then it might not be obvious that we were there for more than just a casual stroll through the museum. Or MAYBE I just really like getting super dressed up EVERYWHERE I GO. That is why when you shoot at places like this where you take the chance of getting kicked out, be smart, plan the shots ahead, get in and get out. And it is probably best not to show up in a ball gown. Just my suggestion 😉
xoxo,
Laura
