I once again had the great pleasure of attending another fabulous LA Fashion Council Fashion Show in downtown LA. It was an intimate get together, meeting new people and greeting old friends.
For the event I decided to wear a two piece outfit I saw at Target the week prior and knew I had to have! The yellow blazer brought out the bits of yellow in the dress. The best part about this outfit besides the comfort of the stretchy fabric and the adorable pattern? The skirt has pockets! I love it when skirts have pockets! A great place to put your business cards at events so you do not have to rummage through your over stuffed clutch while trying not to drop your camera. What I do find a bit hilarious is that I wore the same blazer and necklace combination last year, remember from this outfit? How funny. I was also very lucky to borrow some beautiful Judith Bright pieces including my favorite bracelet. It was so difficult having to give it back!
After the show, the girls and I: Marcy from The Marcy Minute, Dana from Words From the Runway, and Dayne from Judith Bright had lunch and cocktails at the Pattern Bar downtown. This place has drinks named after famous designers! The Valentino, the Oscar De La Renta. The cute bartender even made us an off-the-menu cocktail he called “The Marc Jacobs.” How unique. It was such a Sex in the City moment and walking along the downtown sidewalks made me feel like I was back in NYC for a moment. It really had an effect on me since I cannot wait to go back to that amazing city again. Hopefully in September for NYFW!
After the shows, Dayna and I went to the Joico party in Hollywood to congratulate the amazing Damien Carney on his new Drab to Fab web series! I will post his first video as soon as it is available.

My favorite piece from designer Sarine Marie’s collection, this lace trench coat. Made in the USA!
