A Getaway for Two at the JW Marriott Los Angeles California L.A. LIVE (Giveaway!!)

It’s nice to get away and stay in a hotel every now. I love a good staycation in my home city of Los Angeles especially when that stay is at a luxury hotel right in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles. I’m talking about the JW Marriott Los Angeles California L.A. LIVE.

This is the same hotel where Liz and I got ready at for the AMA’s, our very first award show! The JW LA Live has a sparkling rooftop bar and pool with breathtaking city views, a fitness center, a spa (which I’ve had the privilege of experiencing first hand and can tell you that it is amazing), a fitness center and plenty of restaurants in the area to choose from.  It’s right across the street from the L.A. Live, the Convention Center and the Staples Center so if you have an event in the area, the JW Marriot Los Angeles California LA Live is the perfect spot to unwind afterward. Now during the holiday season, there is a giant ice skating rink just outside the hotel! It is the perfect spot to plan a romantic getaway with your significant other, treat a family member to a spa day, or create some quality time with friends.

The perfect place to unwind with a cocktail in the lobby and even visit the real gingerbread house for happy hour! This house is made of real gingerbread including the brick, cookie decor, and the fireplace mantel.  The amount of detail in this space is incredible and can make you very hungry. The baking team starts the process of putting this together in August so imagine the amount of work it takes to create this! 

Welcome to the gingerbread bar serving happy hour from 4-5pm! They were kind enough to let me hop behind the gingerbread table and test out my bartending skills.  This cranberry pear cider cocktail was delicious by the way. I’m going to have to go back and ask for the recipe. Or if you stop by, please send it my way!

Ready for a night out on the town… then coming back to the hotel and kicking my feet up to relax.
