The second day of our Hawaiian vacation consisted of a day of relaxation. We snorkeled at Turtle Bay Resort for the first half of the day. I saw a blowfish and came uncomfortably close to a sea bed of coral. Snorkeling always makes me uncomfortable in the beginning, not knowing your surroundings. My sister was fearless diving down and getting shells. I swear she was a mermaid in her past life. It was fun walking through the resort and seeing exactly where they shot scenes from the film “Forgetting Sarah Marshall.”
Later that evening we drove into town and did a bit of shopping for souvenirs. Surprisingly I didn’t buy anything. Although I do have my eye out for a cool piece of art from a local artist. A tradition Brian and I have when we travel. The night ended with dinner at a sushi bar. I’m not a fish person so I had a delicious shimp tempura roll.
Horses right across the street from our house.
