At Home With Framebridge: Custom Picture Frames
Today I am very excited to share with you my latest home décor project. A custom picture frames gallery wall by Framebridge. I have been trying to find something to replace the current art piece I had in my living room. I had seen a few gallery walls that I liked however with such a large wall space, I knew it would need to be a certain size to really make a statement.
The Design Process
The first part of designing any gallery wall is selecting which style. I was drawn to the Floor to Ceiling Grid style with silver frames because of the size of the photos and the amount of space it would take up on a particular wall I had in mind. I was thinking while going through the design process what a wonderful gift this would be for someone. Either selecting the photos and gallery wall yourself for them or giving them a gift card and allowing them to design it themselves.
From there it was a matter of choosing a theme. I decided to go with photos of all my travels: Paris, Italy, Joshua Tree, Temecula, Aspen, and Venice. It took longer than I thought because I had thousands of photos to go through. I made the mistake of not double checking the size of the photos before uploading them and had to go back and re-edit and upload a few larger pixel photos.
I was able to use the gallery wall view to select which photos to place where and which photos I wanted to keep. From there it was a simple check out process.
Delivery
My custom picture frames arrived in less than 2 weeks. They were very carefully packaged. Seeing each photo in my hands as I unwrapped it brought back a flood of memories from each trip and I could not wait to hang them all up!
Hanging Up
Framebridge provides a grid and hanging kit with all the necessary pieces for flawless hanging up. It comes as a 3×4 print frame for all 12 photos. I customized it since I decided to do a 4×2 size grid in the living room. The tools necessary to complete the project were:
- Hammer
- Level
- Pencil
- Painters Tape
- Measuring Tape
*Note: This project can be done with one person.
The Final Look
The finished look is absolutely gorgeous. The remaining 4 photos were hung in my bedroom which I will be revealing very soon! I also figured down the line I can switch out these photos and use the frames for other photos.
