Today I am excited to bring you my second East vs. West Coast Style Challenge with my girl and favorite NYC fashion blogger Aminta from the blog Clothes and Fashion! Thanks to Charlotte Russe, we are bringing you totally different styles from opposite sides of the country. This beautiful white eyelet dress has infinite outfit possibilities. Throw on a big hat for a horse race, ballet flats for a picnic in the park or heels for a fancy dinner party. I also plan to wear it with a colorful blazer for business meetings.
For the backdrop, I immediately thought of 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica, California. Anyone who comes to visit Los Angeles has to visit 3rd Street. It has some of the best shopping, dining and site seeing in southern California. Not to mention that it is 3 blocks from the beach 😉 You can see our first LA vs. NYC Style Challenge here. What do you think? Which style do you prefer?

Aminta and I had no issue finding our favorite Charlotte Russe dress. However when it came to shoes we had a difficult time agreeing. We discussed a fashionista’s shoe choice and came to the conclusion that it is such a unique part of one’s style and personality. I fell head over heels (LOL get it?) for these silver curved beauties. They look like an art piece and I love unique shoes that make a statement. Not to mention a great conversation starter! Plus, the thick heel makes them comfortable to walk in.
And in case you are wondering what the heck that thing is behind me… 3rd street has dinosaur water fountains!
The market on the 3rd floor of the Santa Monica Place Mall has one of my favorite coffee places.
P.S. An extra special thank you for visiting my blog. I love reading all of your comments. You can follow me via Bloglovin below!

Laura Lily! You look so lovely! You picked such a great, iconic spot in LA. Which BTW, I visited because you recommended it! Haha. I’m so glad I met you and I’m so happy you’re down to do these style challenges with me <3 <3 <3 That said, I prefer the East Side style better, but maybe I'm a bit biased, lol.
