One of the things I love most about blogging is the friendships I have made with fellow bloggers. These girls always inspire me to work harder, think outside the box, and to never give up. Over the years I have developed very close friendships with a few of these girls. And every year we celebrate my birthday at a famous restaurant I that I have never been to before. Last year it was The Ivy. This year, the girls and I treated ourselves to a delightful brunch at the historic Chateau Marmont. It is definitely a great place to people watch. The food was decent, and as for the service- let’s just say they are busy people watching too.
It is a lot of fun to get dressed up over the weekend for a girls brunch. Since it’s my birthday, I decided to go all out with a pink peplum top, striped midi skirt, and floral pumps. Normally, I am not one to mix prints for fear of over doing it, but the stripes and floral seems to work well together for this look.
Only 5 days until my 27th birthday and my how time is flying by! Looking forward to celebrating a bit more this week! Any ideas where I should go for my birthday next year?
Thanks for reading,
xoxo

First I want to say that your outfit is fabulous and those colors are you! It’s nice to go out for lunch and things like that for your birthday but what about a “girls sleepover”? I know most think this can be really childish and laugh at it but hear me out. First, there is nothing wrong with having friends all sitting around in a comfortable setting talking away about girls stuff with no one else around. Maybe even giving manicures/pedicures by a professional or even having someone come in and getting facials. Watching a decided movie and just spending quiet time together? Who said this can only be for children or why can’t adults have fun like children… It’s your birthday, you decide,,,
Hi Nora,
Thank you for your comment. I completely agree with you. It is so nice to just let loose and spend quality time with girlfriends. I should make a weekly (at least monthly) occurence of it I enjoy it so much!
