Headed to Seattle

This weekend Brian and I will be headed to Seattle for a little weekend getaway. Why Seattle you ask? Well, a few reasons… one) I have never been, two) we have a mutual friend who offered to host and take us around town, and three) it is the birthplace of Starbucks. Enough said. Funny how I had my first pumpkin spice latte on Sunday and one every day since then. Addicted? Maybe.

I’ve started packing this week and it has been a struggle. Not because I have no idea what to wear. Quite the opposite. I know exactly what I want to wear. I jus can’t find anything. I made the mistake of thinking all the construction on my home would be done by now. Instead I’m having to unpack boxes and find everything again.

Luckily I’ve been able to find some new fall clothes on sale already. Like this striped dress I got on super sale at Macy’s. I wore it for a night out with my girls paired with classic black pumps and a faux leather jacket. The dress doesn’t stretch as much as I wish it did and therefore fits a bit snug. Just FYI if you are in between sizes. Maybe the tightness will be my motivation to have one less pumpkin spice latte this week?…. or maybe not.
