A Day at the Races with BCBGeneration

Opening day with BCBGeneration at the Del Mar Race Track was fantastic! Kier, Rachael and I got all dressed up and drove to Del Mar to see crowds of well dressed people with some crazy hats for the annual hat contest.  It is quite fun to people watch at horse races. Everyone is dressed to the nines. The women, especially, look incredibly chic all dressed up. I love seeing all the big hats and picking my favorites. The peacock pictured below was definitely a winner, but I loved my DIY hat the best! Not to mention it went perfectly with my outfit.

This purple one-shouldered BCBGeneration dress was the perfect choice because one- it is my favorite color, and two- cocktail dresses are always classy. This dress is also sexy without revealing too much skin.  Remember, it is always better to be over dressed than under dressed.  The lavender gloves added the perfect touch.
