Saturday was one of those crazy busy days where I was running from one event to the next. I needed an outfit that could transition through all my events, be comfortable and still fabulous. I wore an M Dot Design crop top Michelle made for me for her fashion show last fall and paired it with a tan mini. My favorite faux leather jacket was unnecessary as it ended up being 80 degrees here in LA. Of course I knew I could count on my favorite strappy sandals to get me throughout the day.
There is an amazing giveaway going on right now on the blog to celebrate the 2nd birthday of the Laura Lily blog! You can ENTER TO WIN HERE!!!
My collection of mini bags is growing very quickly. This little Bebe bag is my latest addition.
First stop of the day was was the M Dot Design show room for her last hoo-ray before she goes on tour with W Hotels across the country. Good luck M I am so happy for you!
It was difficult to pick just one of Arielle’s watercolor paintings for my closet. In the end I found the perfect one which I’ll post on my Instagram soon!
One of my new favorite jewelry lines on display, Coral & Stone.
The second stop of the day was my first class at Mood Fabrics: Intro to PhotoShop. I currently use Aperture to edit all my photos. It is difficult to learn a new program, especially one as intense as PhotoShop. Sooner or later I will switch over to PS. It was a slow-paced class. I have signed up for a few others. It is always good to keep learning and refreshing your skills! Honestly the amount of fabric in that store is overwhelming. I would not know where to start if I was shopping for fabric there.
The last stop of the day was Simply Stylist at the Grove to check out the shopping event and support fellow blogger Sazan at her breakout session “The Basics of Blogging.” She killed it! I apologize I did not take any photos at the Grove. It was so crowded and I was exhausted.
I love seeing all the new and upcoming bloggers who attend these events. I remember starting out; being all wide-eyed and bushy-tailed looking up to other bloggers and trying to learn everything I could from them. I am still that way sometimes. Luckily I have some blogging knowledge under my belt after 2 years of blogging 😉
Brian is getting quite good with the camera isn’t he? I am loving the new 85mm 1.8 lens we are using (that is photog language for all of you that speak photographer out there 😉
