I had so much fun this past Saturday at Simply Stylist held at Siren Studios in Hollywood. Sarah, the founder of SS, and her team did a fantastic job putitng it together. I got to listen to some amazing and very inspirational stories by the fashion panel that included one of my favorite fashion idols: Brad Goreski- stylist and star of the show It’s a Brad Brad World, Whitney Port- star from The Hills and NYC fashion designer, Aimee Song- one of my favorite fashion bloggers of the blog Song of Style, Louise Roe- host of my new favorite TV show Fashion Star, Melissa Magsaysay- fashion magazine editor and the host of the day, Catt Sadler from E!. Sometimes we think that these people just got lucky getting to the top of their careers. But after you hear their stories of how you got there, you realize it really took a lot of work and dedication. Truly inspiring to say the least.
I had a lot of fun at the shopping event and getting my hair done by Nume. I finally found the perfect metal belt by 2020Ave for only $9!!! They have a wider one too that I am going to keep my eye out for. Such a steal! Naven, Olivia & Joy, and Whitney Eve by Whitney Port were also at the sale. It was hard to resist, but I need to save for my Scandinavian trip that is only 3 months away! I especially loves seeing familiar faces and meeting new people at the event.

“When you apply for a job inside and out, know that publication inside and out. Know if they have posted a similar story in the last 5 years and how you can make it different.” -Melissa Magsaysay
“Getting into the fashion industry is like getting into a club in LA, fake it til you make it and act like you are supposed to be there.” -Louise Roe
