A Weekend in Texas with Ride Wild at the Wander Inn
It is that time of year again! Ride Wild is heading back to Round Top, Texas for its second annual Wandxr Event at the Wander Inn!
Throughout the last few years, I have had the privilege of attending numerous events with Ride Wild. A women’s power sports adventure and empowerment group founded by my sister Kelly years ago to bring women together. In the last two years, adventures with Ride Wild have taken me snowmobiling in Idaho, camping in Temecula, off-roading in Indiana, snowmobiling in Wyoming, and RVing in South Dakota at the world-famous Buffalo Trip. With all of these amazing adventures, however, I must say that the Wandxr event in Texas has to be my favorite. Keep reading to learn more and book your tickets here!

This trip was my first time to Austin where I met up with my cousin Lili and we headed out to Round Top, Texas. The home of antique stores, acres of farms for miles, and Junk Gypsy. A company founded by two sisters, Amie and Jolie Sikes, who love to shop for treasures in junkyards, DIY, and live their truth. They own some 65 acres in Texas where they have their retail store, Junk Gypsy, acres of cattle, and the Wander Inn.

The Wander Inn is a hotel in Round Top, Texas. Decorated to Junk Gypsy perfection with amazing decor curated over the years, piles of vintage just waiting to be opened, vinyl records ready to spin, and of course, over-the-top art pieces you know were once roadside treasures that have found their forever homes at the Wander Inn. It is one of the best places for a girls weekend trip! One of my favorite parts about this magical place is walking out either the back patio or the front door and seeing the herds of Texas Long-horned cattle peacefully grazing in the distance. The Junk Gypsies described the Wander Inn quite perfectly… “It is a place where you can meet kindred spirits and rejuvenate your creative soul.”

A special closing ceremony presented by medicine woman Antonia Armenta wraps up each Ride Wild event. Women share their stories from the weekend and what the weekend has taught them.
Our Ride Wild basecamp was set up under the Wander trees. Another favorite thing about Ride Wild events is having Bonafide Food on board and in tow. Anto and Brian set up this oasis under the sky and serve the best darn food one could ask for on any vacation. (They are available for catering if you’re in need of a caterer. Activities at camp included cattle roping, tomahawk throwing, and a good ole country BBQ with a live band.
I wish I could go back and relive this weekend in Texas with Ride Wild at the Wander Inn a thousand times. Seeing my sister’s dream of bringing women together. Empowering them through sisterhood and power sports. Sitting enjoying a Bonafide breakfast with coffee in hand and looking up at the clear Texas sky. Shopping with my cousins at the Junk Gypsy store. Driving into the town of Round Top and stopping at the pie shop.
What a wonderful weekend I cannot wait to do it again this year and every year after that.
