Four Seasons Resort Jackson Hole Travel Guide
Jackson Hole, Wyoming has been on my bucket list of places to visit for the last three years. So when the opportunity to go came up this year I JUMPED at the chance.
97% of Jackson Hole valley is protected wildlife so the actual town of Jackson is not very big. Head to the best location in town, the luxurious Four Seasons Resort and Residences located in Teton Village. This stunning resort has a mountain lodge feel and is located right at the edge of the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. You can literally walk out the back door to the ski slopes and the resort provides you everything you possibly want to make your stay in Jackson Hole one you will never forget.
CONCIERGE
It does not get better than the Four Seasons Jackson Hole concierge. The Four Seasons app allows you to message back and forth with the concierge and their response time is fantastic. They were able to assist us with requests and reservations well before our trip started. They even managed to get us a prime dinner reservation for a popular restaurant in Teton Village the day before!
ACCOMMODATIONS
With four women and a dog, we had the best accommodations in one of the Four Season Resort Residences. A two-bedroom, 2.5 bathroom cabin-style condo complete with a full kitchen, wine fridge, patio, steam shower, walk-in closets, washer, and dryer. The living area was the perfect way to enjoy each other’s company and be able to retreat to our own rooms. Right now, The Four Seasons is offering a complimentary fifth night in a spacious residence. ACTIVITIES
We wanted to pack as much into our three-day, two-night stay as possible. As soon we landed we headed to the National Elk Refuge Sleigh Ride! Tickets can be purchased online, through the hotel concierge, or at the ticketing office. Adults are $18 and the trip was definitely worth it. It’s not often you get to go on a horse-drawn sleigh ride into a national park. Our guide, Dally, was so knowledgeable and fun, definitely book your adventure with her!
Another activity we would highly recommend is the star-gazing offered either on or off premises at the Four Seasons. We met our guide in the lobby after dinner and headed out to the patio of the hotel where he had a gigantic telescope ready for us. The resort had also sent out individual charcuterie boards, s’mores, and wine for us to enjoy! We stayed nice and cozy with hot soup in hand and blankets, all the while learning about the Milky Way! Nick was so knowledgeable and did not mind us asking a million questions (thanks, Nick!)
Skiing and snowboarding are other must-dos when in Jackson Hole. The Four Season Resort is set up right at the bottom of the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort with their own ski shop to rent equipment. We skied for a few hours and enjoyed lunch at Corbin’s Cabin, a restaurant on the mountain. Fun Fact: JHMR has the longest continuous vert of any ski area in the United States. Just make sure to book your lift tickets in advance on JacksonHole.com as spaces are limited at the moment and you get a discount for booking two or more weeks in advance.
Another must at the resort is a dip in the heated pool. They currently offer 25 minute or 50 minutes intervals complete with a s’more and hot cocoa bar. Adults- it is possible to get a shot of rum in your hot cocoa to kick into full relaxation mode. Next time we stay, we will definitely be taking a part in their spa offerings (facials, massage, etc.)
Other activities…there are a ton of other activities the hotel offers or can book for you depending on the time of year that you go. This location is fantastic because it is within close proximity to Yellowstone National Park and Grand Teton National Park giving you access to rivers, lakes, mountains, and valleys. One winter activity I still have on my bucket list is dog sledding.

DINING
The Handle Bar– A favorite in Jackson Hole to grab a drink and a bite to eat. The Handle Bar is an American pub and beer hall with a ton of American and international beers, whiskeys, and provisions.
Westbank Grill – is a modern American steak house located in the Four Seasons with incredible views of the mountain and an extensive wine list. We ordered and shared the smoked wagyu beef tartare, the spaghetti & wild mushroom pasta with black truffles, Praire harvest South Dakota beef & game steak, and crispy Brussel sprouts.
Room Service- The Four Seasons room service also offers a delicious array of choices if you feel like staying in or want something conveniently delivered to your room before headed out on the slopes. We ordered room service twice during our stay, once for lunch and once for breakfast. Both meals were delicious. I highly recommend the burger, the chili, and the harvest bowl for breakfast.
The Pool Cafe- During the winter you can get complimentary s’mores and hot cocoa. During the summer months, the Pool Cafe serves burgers, sandwiches, salads, and ice-cream floats!
On-Mountain Dining: There are also multiple restaurants on JHMR. We grabbed hot lattes and toasted sandwiches at The General Store before hitting the slopes. Then for lunch, we stopped at Corbet’s Cabin for fries, chicken tenders, and margaritas. See their options here.

TETON VILLAGE
Teton Village is just a 10-minute walk from the Four Seasons Resort. It has a number of delicious restaurants and shops. We had dinner at OYG (Old Yellowstone Garage) one night located at Caldera House. This restaurant offers a cozy ambiance with modern Italian dishes. The girls and I got multiple dishes including the cacio e pepe, locally grown mushrooms, Ceasar salad, and a bottle of wine to share. It was the perfect amount of food. Just dress warmly for the walk over and you’ll be fine. The restaurant also offers to pick up your food from various restaurants in Teton Village including the Teton Thai restaurant that received two raving reviews by our bellman and our taxi driver.
TRAVELING WITH PETS
We had Meag’s dog Rudy join us for our stay. The resort supplied Rudy with his own cozy bed by the fire, water + food bowls, and doggie bags. It was such a special touch for our furry guest.
GETTING AROUND JACKSON
We took a taxi from the airport to the Four Seasons. ($80 + tip each way for a large SUV.) The Four Seasons also offers a private driver for $250 one way. However, there were plenty of taxis available when we got to the airport. We also took a taxi to the National Elk Refuge ($35 each way.) A rental car is not necessary unless you plan to do more driving. If you’ve never driven in the snow before, proceed with extreme caution.
**NOTE ABOUT FLYING INTO JACKSON HOLE ** The JAC airport will be closing for renovations in the summer of 2022 so just keep that in mind for future travel plans. The next closest airport (Idaho Falls Airport: IDA) is about 1.75 hours away.

WHAT TO PACK FOR JACKSON HOLE:
This list just includes a few items I would recommend packing when traveling to Jackson Hole during the winter season.
- Ski goggles
- Gloves
- Hand and toe warmers
- Winter boots with good grip (2 pairs in case one gets wet from snow)
- Comfortable winter leggings
- Ski pants
- Winter jacket – my favorite is by Harper Coats
- Warm sweaters
- Sunglasses
- Chapstick
- Tissues
- Refillable water bottle to keep hydrated
- Ear cover, earmuffs, hat, etc.
- Face mask
The fact that I get to write this Four Seasons Resort Jackson Hole Travel Guide just makes me so grateful to have had the opportunity to go on this wonderful journey to one of my new favorite states.
