Classic Holiday Makeup Look
I am always one for a classic makeup look. A slightly smokey eye, dramatic eyelashes, and a bold red lip. Add in loose curls with a pretty hair accessory and voila! My go-to beauty look for any holiday party that is easy to recreate and always leaves me feeling beautiful.
The trick to great makeup is to no go overboard. Less is more. The second trick is to blend my makeup really well. I like to make sure to use clean makeup brushes like these from Artis. My go-to makeup palette is by Charlotte Tilbury because it has everything I need in one place and travels really well.
Another beauty item that really jazzes up a makeup look are false lashes. These Eylure lashes (from the vlogger series with Nikki Phillippi) have a cat-eye effect. I know lashes can seem intimidating, but it just takes practice. Allow yourself enough time to apply them and make sure you let the glue settle a bit before applying so that they lashes actually stick.
Another must-have item for a classic holiday look are well manicured nails. Red is always my go-to, however sometimes I like to switch it up for a glitter or sequin nail look. I talked about my favorite faux nails in this post and why you should give every girlfriend a pack of these nails for Christmas. (Half the price for a gel-like set you can take off at home and apply in less than 5 minutes!)
Curles created with my cordless Unplugged Beauty 1″ curling wand. This wand is so handy it has changed the way I curl my hair!
If I had one signature beauty look it would be a bright red lip. I featured my favorite red lipstick in my post about “Gift Ideas for the Woman Who Has Everything.” It lasts forever and goes on super smooth.
Hair accessories can really glamourize your look. These bejeweled bobby pins are only $19 and can be worn all together or just a few at a time. You can try crisscrossing just two of the bobby pins on each or one side of a ponytail hair style as well.
My friend Liz always says that earrings add an extra sparkle to your eye. These gold and pearl drop earrings by Oscar de la Renta are both timeless and versatile to be worn all year long for multiple occasions.
