Moroccan Picnic in the Desert
One of the things I look forward to the most when the weather warms up are picnics. It takes me all of 10 minutes to throw a half decent picnic together. However, my favorite picnics are the ones that I’ve had the time to carefully plan out and curate. I am such a picnic fanatic that I’ve even started a dedicated Picnic tab under Home Decor.
Recently I searched through a few past picnics on the blog and realize I like to have them all over the world from Paris, to the Poppy Fields, San Luis Obispo, and now Joshua Tree. I had this vision to create a Moroccan picnic in the heart of the Joshua Tree National Park.
While in Joshua Tree, Taylor and I got up early, packed the car and drove through the National Park. We didn’t realize just how big the park was and tested a few different locations before deciding on this one.
One thing to note about a picnic in Joshua Tree, it’s home to a lot of bugs and various pokey things so just be mindful before you go to sit down. It also gets hot very quickly once the sun begins to rise so go either early in the morning or late in the evening.
