Valentine’s Day Outfit Ideas

I’ve rounded up some fabulous Valentine’s Day outfit ideas for your ladies. Whether you have a hot date with your honey or a fun night out with your girlfriends, get excited about dressing up in something other than red or pink. Don’t get me wrong. I absolutely LOVE red dresses. There is something so sexy and powerful about them. But if you don’t want to be cliche on V-Day, opt for a different color and maybe even a pattern like this floral dress. My favorite shades lately are nudes and pinks.

Here are some other factors to include when picking out your Valentine’s Day outfit:

Dress for the Occasion

Know the vibe. I always prefer to be over-dressed than under-dressed for any occasion. Do a little research beforehand by checking Instagram, Yelp, ask friends, etc. If he won’t tell you where you two are going because he wants to surprise you (how sweet) ask him to at least tell you if the place is casual, cocktail, or somewhere in between. Your best bet is to wear a pretty dress and throw a jacket over your shoulders. This little trick can dress-up any outfit.

Check the weather

Nothing is worse than stepping out in your new satin sandals only to have the rain come pouring down and ruin them. If it’s going to be freezing outside, maybe you want to consider nylons, close-toed shoes and a sexy trench coat.

Try It On

Get your look figured out beforehand and try it on! There’s nothing worse than looking forward to wearing a particular outfit only to find out 5 minutes before you have to leave that it no longer fits, needs to be sewn or has a giant stain across the front.

Confidence

Feel comfortable in what you are wearing. You can have the hottest dress on, but if you’re not feeling it- honey it is going to show. The number one accessory for any look is confidence.
