Last Thursday I headed to downtown for the LA Fashion Council runway shows at Carondelet House. What a beautiful venue! It was full of LA bloggers whom I always love to meet. I decided to wear a sophisticated outfit with a yellow cropped blazer and polyester shorts. Shorts allow you to wear a shorter length without looking like you are going to a club. Remember, fashion is not always about trying to push boundaries. I personally prefer a stylish, structured outfit that suits me rather than trying to impress everyone with something outlandish that I am not comfortable in. But hey, that is just me- to each her own.
I kept my make-up simple with soft bronzed cheeks, black liquid eyeliner and a soft pink lip which allowed my curls to do most of the talking.
I find it pretty neat that I found a black patent clutch to match my black patent shoes! Patent is one of those fabrics that is so easy to dress up or down and always looks so sleek.
I apologize that I have not shown you these amazing Charles David wedge shoes earlier. I remember the day I first saw them on another girl. I asked where she got them and she rudely replied the brand but that they were old and probably sold out. I found them the very next day on sale for $50. I guess she just did not want anyone else to have them.
Emerald is my birthstone (I was born in May) and I love how the eyes of my jaguar bracelet match my ring.
Fellow blogger and photographer Marla Verdugo was nice enough to take this next batch of photos right outside the Carondelet House….
The floors were a bit uneven so I decided to wear wedges just to be safe.
