The time has finally come for me to pack for Palm Springs this weekend! It will be a little getaway with my sister and girlfriends to celebrate my 28th birthday. Some people hate packing. I actually enjoy it (as long as I can get my suitcase to close!) It’s part of the anticipation building up to a fun trip!
Plus, it is a great start to summer. I just ordered this hat and this swimsuit cover-up from Nordstrom (they are having their half yearly sale by the way! I linked a few of my favorite summer items at the bottom of this post for you all.) Now if only the pink and silver version of these Dior sunglasses would come back in stock I’d be set with my birthday wish list.
Now all I am missing is a good straw tote like this one to toss all my pool items in. Maybe I’ll find one a boutique while we are there.

As much as I love the sunshine, sunscreen is a constant routine in my life. I would like to postpone aging on my skin for as long as possible. Lately I have been reaching for more naturally based products. 
Before I go on vacation, I like to do a little at home tanning sessions so that I do not look like a snowman out in the desert. I start by exfoliating in the shower, completely dry off, then carefully apply a self-tanner. I love the Express Bronzing Mousse by Karora. The color comes out a beautiful bronze.
