It has been one of my dreams to attend the Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week and I feel so lucky that I was able to make that wish come true this year. I literally bought a plane ticket and the let things fall into place as I went. Luckily I had the IFB Conference and LuckyFABB the first 3 days I was there to meet other bloggers and make some great friends. I got to spend 2 days attending shows and watching the street style unfold around Milk Studios and the Lincoln Center. I guess what I would like to tell you is, if you have a dream, make it happen. I wanted to go to NYC and now I cannot wait to go back! Next on my list? London, Paris and Milan fashion weeks! Time to start planning how I can make that happen. I have no idea how people can make all those trips with the same luggage, but I admire them for it.
For my first day of shows, I wore my ever favorite BCBG Max Azria color-block pleated dress. Look familiar? That is because I have featured it numerous times on this blog. It was perfect for NYFW and the street photographers loved that I combined such a feminie dress with sharp, studded shoes (my beloved Valentinos of course!) I spent my morning at Milk Studios attending the Eckhaus Latta show and then the Nonoo presentation. Her creations are so fun and girly. They also feature flamingo prints!
I accidentally fell upon the Chelsea markets for lunch but I am so glad I did! The Thai place I chose was amazing. I wish I had more time in New York to try out a different place in the market everyday. The afternoon I got to attend the Pamella Roland presentation. Her designs are absolutely stunning. I wanted a few of the dresses for myself. Maybe if I attend the Oscars I’ll get to wear one 😉
