3.1 Phillip Lim for Target Preview: I’m sure you guys have heard at least a rumor of Target’s new collaboration with fashion designer Phillip Lim. It is true, I got to see the pieces up close during a preview this week in Santa Monica with the LA Fashion Magazine and it was amazing! There are a handful of prints, but mostly solids that will make styling from day-to-night really simple.  My feeling is the handbags are going to be the first things to sell out as they are very similar to the full price 3.1 Phillip Lim bags that sell for $625 +. Only Target’s versions will sell for a steal at $54.99! My next bet is the Boom! sweatshirt and dress because they are such fun pieces to wear.

I got the inside scoop for you all… The collection will go on sale September 15th in Target stores and online. The time is TBD for the online launch but if it is anything like last year’s Prabal Gurung launch, the items will be available at 12AM EST September 15th which means 9PM PST and I will be comfortable at home shopping in my pjs! Also, there will be at least 30 items on-line only!

If you do want to camp out and run with the crowd early Sunday morning, note that the entire collection will be set in the women’s apparel section so you don’t have to run to different areas of the store for all the shoes, bags, and accessories!
